Mamby On The Beach just threw down the gauntlet, as far as summer festivals go. The fest started off as a primarily EDM affair but over the years has morphed into something still locked into grooves, but upon a much wider sonic palette. This year the fest will be at Oakwood Beach on June 24 to 25, and features a pretty great bill.

One headliner coup they've made this year is securing MGMT for Mamby's opening Saturday night. The group, most famous for their hit "Kids," has been largely in hibernation and hasn't even played Chicago since 2013. Miike Snow, which is becoming a regular Chicago festival player year in and year out thanks to live sets that never fail to deliver, plays Saturday as well. And Chicago rapper Saba continues to raise his profile with a set earlier that day.

Sunday looks to be a monster though, so you'll probably want to call into work on Monday. Walk the Moon and Flying Lotus will close out the weekend as headliners, but we're most excited for Cut Copy's set that evening. The Australian quartet has a well earned and rock solid reputation for delivering euphoric sets of dance rock.

Earlier sets that day that also have us excited will come from Thundercat—currently riding high on this year's freak-funk of Drunk—and STRFKR's hypnotic demands to dance. And there's some solid Chicago talent on Sunday including stellar R&B grooves from both Sir The Baptist and BJ the Chicago Kid, as well as a sure-to-be can't miss set from Green Velvet.

And that's just a taste of what to expect, the full lineup is below and tickets are available here.
