Pedestrian Seriously Hurt In Hit-And-Run After Argument In River North

A pedestrian is in serious condition after a driver in River North swerved from traffic and hit the victim following an argument early Friday morning, according to police.

During the argument, the driver of a black Dodge Charger at around 2:24 a.m. swerved and struck the victim, 24, who was in the crosswalk, in the 400 block of North Clark Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital and listed in serious condition. The driver fled the scene, and police do not have anyone in custody as of Friday morning.
