At least 45 people were shot, two fatally, over a violent Easter weekend, according to the Sun-Times.

The first half of the holiday weekend was particularly bloody. Thirty-two people were wounded and one person was killed in shootings from Saturday through early Sunday, according to the Tribune.

Most recently, a 33-year-old man was fatally shot while standing at the Garfield Red Line station at around 2:39 a.m. on Monday morning.

Cardinal Blase Cupich led hundreds, including other faith leaders and several city officials, in a peace march through Englewood on Good Friday.
