Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting, Robbing Woman He Met At Lakeview Bar

A 46-year-old man has been charged with aggravated robbery and criminal sexual assault of a woman in Lakeview, according to police,

Alexander Carter, of the 200 block of West 74th Street, allegedly sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman at her apartment in the 500 block of West Oakdale on Sunday at 12:01 a.m., police said in a release. Carter met the victim earlier that night at a bar, according to police. After he assaulted the victim, Carter took off with the victim's phone and other personal property, authorities allege.

The victim was taken to a local and is in stable condition.

Carter faces one felony count of aggravated criminal sexual assault; one felony count of aggravated robbery indicating he had a firearm; one misdemeanor count of theft; and one misdemeanor count of reckless conduct.

He is scheduled to appear in bond court on Tuesday.
