Whether you love or hate the Taste of Chicago (and you'll have no trouble finding strong opinions from locals), the city's annual food-festival blowout has at least done a pretty solid job when it comes to the music programming. Today, the Taste offered a preview sampling of the musical menu, announcing that Ben Harper and Twin Peaks will both perform at the Petrillo Music Shell.
The jam-scene-adjacent hippie-folk veteran Harper and local garage-pop wunderkinds Twin Peaks will both take the stage on July 7. Lawn spots are free, but theatre seating goes on sale May 5, the Department of Cultural Affairs announced on Monday.
The full Taste of Chicago festivities run from July 5 to 9 in Grant Park. More acts will be announced on Tuesday, May 2.
In the meantime, you can relive the glory that was Chance the Rapper and The Roots at last year's Taste here.
