'What Could It Possibly Mean?' Asks Artist Who Made 'LIAR' Mosaic At Trump Tower

Great art lends itself to multiple interpretations, so we'll follow the open-ended lead of public-art local hero Jim Bachor, who asks "What could this possibly mean?" about his new work, "LIAR," and let the mystery be.

Still, there are a few details about this latest project that lead one to divine at least a strong perspective: 1) the Russian flag backdrop and 2) the fact that "LIAR" is emblazoned over it. Also, did we mention that, according to Bachor's post, it's located just north of Trump Tower? Plus, some of the tiles are real gold, he says.

For the uninitiated, Bachor for the better part of five years has been transforming potholes into inimitable works of (literal) street art, creating stunning mosaic installations where one there was only an infrastructure flaw.

After crowdfunding operational support early last month to expand and maintain his one-of-a-kind practice, Bachor unveiled his first installation of the year "Mac-N-Chz" a few days ago on his must-follow Instagram. "LIAR" was posted on Tuesday morning. How timely.
