So long, Chicago Justice. We hardly knew you.

The Dick Wolf-produced Chicago franchise juggernaut is back to a trio as Deadline reports that NBC has cancelled the locally-set and filmed drama after a single season. We guess we now have our answer as to just exactly how many Dick Wolf Chicago time-slot fillers the world will allow.

The three other shows remaining in the NBC Chicago glut universe will be back next year: Chicago P.D., Chicago Med and the still-lucrative flagship Chicago Fire.

To be honest, we were probably just as likely to encounter Chicago Justice on the street during filming than an actual full episode. It was the lowest rated of the four and never got much critical love—even for a comfort-food broadcast-TV courtroom drama.

Stay tuned to the actual Cook County State’s Attorney's Office, or maybe old episodes of The Good Wife, for your Chicago legal-drama fix.
