Good Luck Getting Into That Nutella Cafe Today

Yesterday, the world's first Nutella-based stand-alone restaurant opened. Today, I tried to eat there. Yeah, good luck.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., more than 100 people were still standing in line for admittance. Security was out in force (a gruff man directed me to the line when I, naively, attempted to get inside the restaurant) and the cafe itself was packed full of people.

The line started around the corner on Lake, stretched up and around onto Beaubien Court, then across the street to the other side.

It's possible that this is a first-week blip, and things are going to calm down. But given the cult status of Nutella and the Michigan Avenue location of this spot, it might be a long time before you can get into this restaurant without a line.
Also, if you get stuck and can't get into the Nutella restaurant, you can head to nearby Toni Patisserie for some darn good Nutella crepes right now. Just sayin'.
