Police: Body Found Near Lake Michigan At Montrose Dog Beach

A body was found at Montrose Dog Beach Friday morning by a Chicago Park District employee, according to police.

The employee found the body of an adult man lying in the sand near Lake Michigan in the early morning ,around 3:30 a.m., in the 500 block of West Montrose Drive. The man was pronounced dead when authorities arrived. Police believe the man may have been homeless, according to the Tribune.

Area North police detectives are conducting a death investigation after an adult male was discovered lying on the beach, unresponsive. "The investigation remains ongoing and no further details are available at this time," police wrote in a media notification.
