A 19th Century Ravenswood Victorian mansion is up for sale—with a lower price than when it was on the market a year ago.

The Painted Lady-style mansion, built in 1891 at 4512 N. Damen Ave., has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms on a very large, 7,000 square-foot lot. A developer completely gut-rehabbed the home in 2004 and lived there afterwards, according to the listing, adding new wood siding, a dug-out basement "with high ceilings" and a chef's kitchen. The developer bought the home in 2002 for just $350,000 before gut renovating it, according to Redfin.

The real estate listing says the seller is "motivated" to sell at the $1.185 million asking price—down from nearly $1.3 million last year, according to Curbed.
