A man was critically injured during a three-alarm fire in a vacant Humboldt Park warehouse early Wednesday morning, officials said.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at Homan and Grand at roughly 4 a.m., and had extinguished it by 6:10 a.m., fire officials told reporters. While they were on the scene, the warehouse roof collapsed.
The injured man was transported to Stroger Hospital for treatment to a leg injury.
The vacant warehouse was frequented by squatters, according to reports.
