French Restaurant Week Is Returning To Chicago

It's a matter of record that I'm fairly skeptical about Restaurant Week deals, which are often bad values and lead to overcrowded restaurants. But sometimes there are deals to be found at smaller, more focused promotions. That's definitely the case at Chicago's third French Restaurant Week, coming in July.

We first reported on this event back in 2015, and it's continued since. The deal is the same basic structure as Restaurant Week: prix fixe meals at set prices with a few options. The difference is that all the restaurants involved are French or French-influenced. The cheapest menu option is only $17.89 (French revolution, get it?), compared to a standard $22 Restaurant Week lunch. The other dinner option is $38, and there's a super fancy $178.90 option. As always, do the math!

The promotion runs from July 10 - 23. Participating restaurants include Brindille, Le Sardine, Taus Authentic, Le Bouchon, Mexique, Cyrano's On the River and more. It's so far out, the list will probably get longer, so keep an eye on the website and make your reservations early.
