Police Warn Of Armed Robberies Around Lakeview This Month

Police are warning about a series of armed robberies in Lakeview this month, just south of Wrigleyville.

In each of at least four robberies, two or three black men between the ages of 16 and 35 approached people on the street or in an alley, knocked them against a wall or onto the ground, and then declared they were robbing them, according to police. In one robbery, one of the robberies pointed a knife at his victim, while in another a robber implied he had a handgun.

The robberies took place in the following locations at the following times:

•3200 block of North Racine Avenue on June 9, 2017 at 1:30 a.m.
•3200 block of North Halsted Street on June 9, 2017 at 3:35 a.m.
•3200 block of North Kenmore Avenue on June 11, 2017 at 2:45 a.m.
•3300 block of North Halsted Street on June 15, 2017 at 12:01 a.m.

Police said one of the robbers was wearing a red dress.
