As Chicago's own local celebration of food and music, The Taste Of Chicago, continues to downsize, Milwaukee's Summerfest only seems to be growing bigger. The weeks-long music fest has already featured big ticket headliners including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Luke Bryan, Paul Simon, The Zac Brown Band and Pink since it kicked off last Wednesday. Were those the only musical acts, that would be an impressive lineup, but the fest also features dozens of bands dotting the grounds each day for attendees to wander around, take in, and enjoy for no additional money.
We gave you a first look at the action on the ground yesterday, and now we have another batch featuring the bands, people, and food that makes visiting Milwaukee during this extended outdoor party more and more enticing each year.
Milwaukee's Summerfest is taking a break Monday to catch its breath, but the festivities kick off again from July 4 through July 9. If you haven't made it to Milwaukee yet, there are plenty of bands to look forward to including Tom Petty (who is in the midst of an excellent victory lap tour); Future, Big Sean, and Migos; and the Outlaw Music Festival featuring Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, and more. And those are just headlining acts, a deep dive into the full lineup should fill up even the most casual music fan's day, no matter when you choose to attend.
