As Judge Smails might say, we'll get something and like it. Bill Murray and his brothers are officially bringing a Caddyshack-themed restaurant to town. Murray Bros. Caddyshack will take up home in the Crowne Plaza Hotel (5440 N. River Rd.) in Rosemont.

Details are still forthcoming, but here's what we know: the 8,600-square-feet outpost is scheduled to be open by December. The dining space will seat 265, and there will be plenty of TVs showing the big game(s). Like the original Murray Bros. Caddyshack location, in St. Augustine, Florida, there will be a retail space. Also expect a "Golf Simulation Experience." No word yet on whether or not that includes a gopher element—or if we can expect any movements from Bill's classical-music phase on the soundtrack.

"Golf is evolving from its exclusionary practices in favor of a more open and fun-loving attitude, which can be seen in everything from today’s hip golf fashion to more eclectic golf fans and unique venues at golf tournaments," said Andy Murray (brother of Bill, Brian-Doyle, et al., not the tennis player) in a release. "I’m glad the rest of the world is catching up."

We don't know exact specs on the interior look or menu details, but as we noted late last year when word of a potential Chicagoland expansion emerged, plenty of movie memorabilia and hearty-portioned pub fare is a safe bet if the original locale is any indicator.

As you may have gleaned from the semi-frequent Cubs boosterism, Bill and his eight siblings were raised in the Chicagoland area.
