The Field Museum is offering Chicagoans a chance to be in its permanent collection. All they have to do is give their voice to the specimens displayed in its latest exhibition.

Starting July 12th, a recording booth will be traveling throughout the city, inviting people to become the voice of one of the 200 specimens from the museum’s extraordinary exhibition, “Specimens: Unlocking the Secrets of Life”.

Each specimen has a story to tell, and people can simply pick the one they want to give a voice to. Stories include a rock n' roll snake, an aristocratic squirrel or a conspiracy-busting millipede, just to name a few.

The voices will also be featured in the exhibition itself, “Specimens: Unlocking the Secrets of Life”
