Woman Stabbed In The Chest Outside Jefferson Park Blue Line Station

A woman was seriously injured in a stabbing early Thursday morning that happened outside the Jefferson Park Blue Line station, according to police.

The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was stabbed in the chest by an unknown woman at around 12:50 a.m. in the 4900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, outside the Jefferson Park stop, police said. The victim was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and listed in serious condition.

Police did not have anyone in custody as of early Thursday afternoon. The investigation is ongoing.
