Photos: Inside A Quirky North Center Storefront Turned Single Family Home

A quirky North Center storefront converted into a single family home with a stunning mosaic glass block front window is on the market for $869,000.

The 2,100 square foot three bedroom, two bathroom home was once a store, built at 3100 N. Leavitt St. in 1908, before it was converted into a home more recently. The architecturally interesting space includes exposed brick and timber beams and a large skylight. Modern updates to the space include a hanging fireplace, custom built-in kitchen cabinets, benches and shelves, a stained glass door and a deep soaking tub and rain shower in the bathroom. There is also an attached garage.

The home last sold in August 2011 for $675,000—a price drop from the $720,000 it went for in 2005, according to real estate records. If you want to see inside the unique space yourself, there are two open houses scheduled for this weekend: 11 a.m. on July 22 and noon on July 23.
