Charity dinners are a dime a dozen, but it's rare that one brings together this kind of star power in one kitchen. OK, the event is pricy, but the chefs are incredible, the location is hard to get into and the money is going to a great cause.
Giant, Jason Vincent's super hot Logan Square restaurant, is hosting this benefit on Monday, July 24 starting at 7p.m. The chefs include Rick Bayless, Stephanie Izard and Mindy Segal. Plus, of course, Vincent and his partner Ben Lustbader. There are only 50 seats available. That's like combining a dinner at Giant (impossible to get into), a dinner with Rick Bayless (a treasure you won't forget) and a dinner at Girl and the Goat (impossible to get into), and topping it off with Chef Segal's amazing pastry skills.
Plus, the chefs won't be cooking their courses and leaving; they're sticking around for the whole evening to mingle with the guests. So if you always wanted that photo with Chef Bayless, this is your chance. There's also a silent auction and a food art exhibit curated by photographer Huge Galdones.
All that awesomeness doesn't come cheap - tickets are a whopping $750. All proceeds go to the ACLU. To order tickets, email events@ACLU-il.org.
