Infant Who Fell Through Gap In CTA Tracks Is Somehow Doing OK

The child reportedly fell as her mother was pushing her in her stroller off of a train heading away from the Loop. The 2-month-old was rescued by bystanders, police and fire officials told the Tribune, and she was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition to be checked out.
Blue Line trains were temporarily delayed Thursday morning after crews shut off power to the tracks in order to rescue the child.
Some Forest Park-bound Blue Line trains operating w/residual delays after an earlier injured customer at IL Med District. Service resuming.
