Aurora Is Hosting 'Harry Potter' Laser-Wand Tag This Weekend

You probably won't have much luck getting into the sold-out, ridiculously-hot-ticket Harry Potter fan festival in Aurora. But you can still get your wizardly wand-waving jollies on a grand scale this weekend.

Haunted-house practitioners Basement of the Dead are hosting a "Wizard Outbreak. Translation: a big ol' laser-wand battle, against assorted "dark wizards and creatures," across a 10,000-square-foot maze, according to organizers. There's also a VIP upgrade that includes an archery event, a "head-to-head wizard duel" and a free Potter-inspired butterbeer.
