A 14-year-old killed in a drive-by shooting in Pilsen was one of three Chicagoans who died in shootings over the weekend.

Damien Santoyo was killed at 2:35 a.m. in front of a home on the 1700 block of South Newberry Avenue after someone yelled gang slogans at he and his friends from a passing car, according to the Chicago Tribune. Santoyo was killed by a bullet to his head. Family members said they had moved from Texas less than a year ago, and Santoyo was scheduled to start high school soon and play football. Family members are raising money through GoFundMe for his funeral services.

Neighbors nearby complained that this was the third night of gunfire in the area and called on police to bring more patrols to the neighborhood. Four others were injured in non-fatal shootings in the Pilsen and Little Village area this weekend, according to DNAinfo.

NBC Chicago reports that the first fatal shooting happened Saturday night in Englewood when an unknown suspect shot a 39-year-old driving in the 300 block of West 57th Street. He was hit several times in the torso, before crashing his car. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

One of the killings appears to be a case of domestic violence. DNAinfo reports that a 33-year-old man was fatally shot by a 30-year-old woman in the 6900 block of West 65th Street. Police say that the woman pulled out a gun and shot the man three times after 5 a.m. Sunday after the man beat her. The woman was taken into custody.

NBC Chicago has a run-down of the 29 shootings reported beginning Friday night.
