Man Shot To Death While Being Carjacked In Noble Square

A man was fatally shot early Thursday morning during an attempted carjacking in Noble Square.

The 28-year-old man was dropping off a woman he knew at around 2:05 a.m., in the 1200 block of North Greenview Avenue when a man got out of a nearby white vehicle and tried to steal the man's car. The victim "refused" to give up the car and the suspect then fired shots, according to police. The man, who was struck in the torso, tried to drive away after he was shot and crashed into a parked car, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

No one was in custody as of Thursday morning.
