Watch Stunning Drone Video Of Swedish Water Tower's Joyful Return To Andersonville

Andersonville's most recognizable monument, the much-loved Swedish-flag water tower, was at last returned to its perch atop the Swedish American Museum on Tuesday.
The original had to be removed about three years ago after a nasty winter did a number on the neighborhood icon, which had looked over the area since 1927. But residents weren't ready to say goodbye, and donations totaling more than $165,000 came in to build a new version, culminating in this week's long-awaited return.
But a dramatic entrance deserves a dramatic staging. There was quite a bit of good media documentation from Tuesday, but the most appropriately heart-swelling one we saw was the drone clip above. The swooping vantage tracks the tower's transition from street to roof and the airborne view even comes replete with a Swedish flag waving triumphantly from a crane. It's enough to make us want to run to Andersonville right now. Here we come, Hopleaf.
