Summer may be entering its late throes, but street-festival season isn't ready to relinquish its beer-stained grip on us just yet. The new Würst Music & Beer Fest was just announced on Tuesday, promising "beer, bratwurst and bands galore" early next week in the West Loop.

The fest-scape newcomer takes up inaugural shop at West Randolph Street & North Ogden Avenue, outside the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Hall, between Sept. 8 to 10. Headliners include Bloomington, IN indie-folk vets Murder By Death; Lawrence, KS emo-pop faves The Anniversary; and raucous Nashville garage punks Diarrhea Planet. The festival—a collaboration between StarEvents and Riot Fest—picks up the spirit left by the now-departed Rocktober Beerfest.

Three-day passes ($25) go on sale Thursday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. Special beer and bratwurst pairing packages are available.

You can find more info here. A list of participating restaurants will be announced in the near future, and you can check out the full music lineup below.
