A death investigation is underway after a man who was being questioned by Chicago police on Monday died later that evening.
Police responded to a call in the 1600 block of South Pulaski Road on Monday night at around 8:11 p.m. where a man "was being detained regarding a robbery." Emergency medical services were requested when the man became unresponsive, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police did not offer any further details. According to NBC Chicago, Chicago Fire Department Commander Curtis Hudson said medical crews received a call of a "person down from unknown causes."
