A window washer was shot and wounded while he was working outside the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel building, according to the paper.
The victim, a 30-year-old, man was reportedly shot in the chest while he cleaned windows outside the building. He ran into the offices, where employees offered help and called paramedics.
The shooting happened at around 1:30 p.m. outside the offices at 333 W. State St., in Milwaukee. An initial investigation by police showed that a passing vehicle was the intended target, not the man who was struck, the Sentinel reported.
The man was conscious and alert, when paramedics arrived, Sentinel reporter Mike De Sisti said on Twitter.

The victim's co-worker Greg Kintop told the paper that neither heard anything out of the ordinary before the shots were fired. "Just gunfire," Kintop said. "We were just standing outside and cleaning the windows and then just pop-pop-pop-pop."
