Take A Look At The Stellar Punk & Goth Fashion At Riot Fest 2017

The annual Riot Fest blowout serves as a hospitable gathering place for aging punks, which means there's a large contingent of folks (like myself) for whom a vintage band t-shirt draped over an IPA paunch, plus utilitarian cargo shorts, passes for fashion. But that's hardly the whole story. Given the festival's aesthetic, there's also plenty of vintage leather-and-liberty-spikes looks, patch-and-pin-bedazzled denim vests and Dr. Martens-and-fishnet goth—usually with individualistic twists and turns. At the same time, a lot of the best style we saw this year seemed less explicitly subcultural, more diverse and contemporary. Not sure that a specific, clear trend has emerged, but that feels like a good thing.
