Police Warn Of String Of Car Thefts Around Lakeview

Police are warning Lakeview residents about a string of car thefts across the neighborhood in the past month.
The car thefts mostly took place in the 19th District, which includes North Center, Lakeview, West Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Boystown and Ravenswood. Police said in a community alert this week that cars were stolen while parked legally around the neighborhoods at the following places and times:
• The 2700 Block of North Greenview between 18-19 September 2017 from 8:15 p.m.
6:00 a.m.
•1200 Block of West Nelson on 21 September 2017 at 12:00 a.m.
•500 Block of West Aldine on 23 September 2017 at 9:00AM.
•900 Block of West Belle Plaine between 25-27 September 2017 from 9:00AM-
1:00PM.
•4400 Block of North Ravenswood between 26-27 September 2017 from 9:00PM-
7:30AM.
•600 Block of West Belmont on 03 October 2017 from 09:30AM-10:40AM.
•900 Block of West Wrightwood on 04 October 2017 at 11:25AM.
•3300 Block of North Halsted on 05 October 2017 from 9:30PM-11:50PM
•1400 Block of West Montrose on 09 October 2017 from 1:30PM-7:30PM
