Jesse Junior Gets His Shots In

isaachayes_and_jjjr.jpgOn Wednesday South Side Democratic U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. (that's him on the right, with Isaac Hayes) made some hay out of the recent Chicago minority contract scandals, and pointed his finger in the direction of Mayor Richard M. Daley. It's largely thought that Jesse Junior wants to run for mayor in 2007, and these statements, as well as a few other rumbles from Jackson last year are all a preliminary to announcing his candidacy.

Of course, you can't go ahead and insult Mayor Daley without a few people shooting back on his behalf. Most vitirolic was Ald. Issac Carothers (29th) who said Jackson, "wants to be king of the world." Of course, Carothers would feel that way, since Jackson ran a candidate against him in 2003.
