Lesean Jackson, 17, was charged with first-degree murder today as the shooter in 10-year-old Arthur Jones's death. Jackson is the third teenager charged in the case; Steven McCaskill, also 17, was charged with first-degree murder last week for obtaining the gun, and a 14-year-old was charged as a juvenile for allegedly getting the gun from McCaskill and giving it to Jackson.
According to the police McCaskill is a member of the Black P Stones, and the shots were fired as part of an on-going conflict with the Gangster Disciples.
Jones's funeral is tomorrow at 10am at the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church on 45th and Princeton.

Did any of you see the mother of the youngest offender on TV? She was blasting the Police, blasting the detectives. The parents need to be put in prison right alongside these teens.
I kinda agree with you Joe, I think parents should be held accountable in certain cases. Further I think brining kids into the world should require mandatory training.
Maybe if we are going to blame the parents, we should not be charging children with adult crimes like first-degree murder. Just a thought.

If you can't vote, why should you be charged with murder? "Here, you don't have the good judgement to decide on your own whether or not to buy a pack of cigarettes but you are definitely responsible for murder". I don't buy it.
