We recently told you that palindrome proficient club evilOlive is the Monday night hot spot. Hipsters flock there (maybe because it’s so ironic to get loaded on a Monday?) to knock back PBRs and get down to the indie-rock dance party during the club’s weekly Rehab program.
But tonight is extra special, considering a couple underground overlords will be making an appearance. Vito and Druzzie, members of New York-based dance-punk group The Rapture will be DJing alongside Midwestern spinners DJ Jordan Z. and Florida Mike. Get ready for a non-stop punk pop slam dance. For a taste of what The Rapture is about, check out some of their MP3s.
Tonight’s normally free event is $10, although half price before 11:00 p.m. (so $5) but then $15 after 2:00 a.m. Got it?

Weekend Diversion: Night Of The Ponies

You know, if it weren't for Simian Mobile Disco playing a set at Sonotheque tonight...
"maybe because it’s so ironic to get loaded on a Monday?
Nice. That made me El Oh El at the office on a Monday morning.
sounds like a great night to be out and dance. it's hard to choose between this event, Simian Mobile Disco, Chances Dances, and Boom Boom Room.
too bad I'm not ironic enough to not have a job to go to the next morning.
