What Are You Drinking? Redux
Last year we dedicated our "Beer of the Week" columns for the month of June to highlight selections by you, the readers. The responses from you, both in recommendations and response after we made our selections, actually surprised us.
We liked doing the readers choice selections so much that we decided to do it again. Next month's "BotW" columns will be readers choice selections. In order to have your selection qualify, you need to e-mail us directly with it. This time around, the reader who submits the most popular recommendation will receive a Chicagoist t-shirt.
Our inbox is waiting.

Miller High Life.
New Belgium Sunshine Wheat. Finally available in Chicago, not to be confused with Lienie's Sunset Wheat which is interesting but tastes a little too much like blueberry. Not a bad summer beer, but also not New Belgium's season summer beer
Again, e-mail the recommendations, please. Any left here will not be accepted.
Budwieiser's new "it" beer: Weiss-Bock-Stout with infusion of kumquat. And Weiss-Bock-Stout lite.
Since leaving Chicago and Solsun behind, I was sure LA would have nothing to offer in the way of life giving beer. However, the discovery of Craftsman 1803 out here gives me hope. And Spav, you always know just what to say, the Champagne of Beers will always be number 1.
My current rotation is (in order of awesome):
Brasserie d'Achouffe's La Chouffe
Sprecher Abbey Triple
Three Floyds' Rabbid Rabbit Saison
My own poorly executed homebrew organic porter.
chuck.. you're going on the assumption that most popular = the best? isn't that.. at the least, a little too trusting?
No. Most popular = best received post of the selections, Shannon. Comments, recommendations, page traffic, etc.
And some good recommendations are coming in.
Leinenkugle's summer shandy.
As an englishman, I think it can't be beat.
Fermented apple juice from the prison commissary.
