At Least It Was Organic

The City Health Department shut down the Whole Foods at 1000 W. North Ave. today after finding evidence of a rodent infestation throughout the store, including a glue trap and over 100 droppings in a walk-in cooler. The store will remain closed until it passes reinspection; make sure to shop at one of the 400 other Whole Foods in the city.

Wow!!

Chicago has 400 Whole Foods????

Lots of people with lots of discretionary income in Chicago!!!!

Stupid Yuppie bitches

There are about 15 Whole foods in the Chicagoland area...

Just shop at Jewel or Dominick's like everyone else.

You'll find not spending $150 for a bag of groceries really saves the green (the good kind, not the stupid environment)!

Whoa thanks for the hot tip Sears Tower. I liked you better when you posted as Captain Obvious.

Trader Joe's made 'Whole Paycheck' it's bitch when it opened up a few years ago. After the other rat infestation at the WF on Ashland a few years back I won't go in there unless there is an organic emergency.

I used to work at Whole Foods and a regional electrician told me that the Lincoln Park store was the dirtiest in the region. This is not really "news" is it? I went there a few months back before I was told this, and almost every item I picked up in the Prepared Foods cold case was days out of date! That is a disgrace that a store who "cares" about the integrity of organic foods has allowed this to happen. Guess that's how they "create store environments that are inviting and fun." Long live - Whole Paycheck - Whole Hantavirus!!!!
