Another Healthy Lunch Option Opens Downtown

2008_07_ufood_logo.gifDor the Downtown workforce, uFood Grill opens today at 200 W. Jackson. Founded by George Naddaf of Boston Chicken/Market fame, uFood follows that franchise's emphasis on healthy dining options, with menu items made from lean meats, natural and organic ingredients, fresh produce, whole grains, and lower-fat cheeses and dressings. Nothing is fried.

And especially for you at the nearby Board of Trade wasting time reading us when you could be in the pits, uFood is publicly traded.

Dude, that place is across the street from my office! Niiiice. If it sucks, I will be sad.

I just looked down there. There is a line that's like twelve miles long! Maybe I won't go there today to get stuck balls-ass deep in a line.

These guys are going to make so much money.

thanks, always looking for downtown food places, the healthier the better.

I'll check it out, but it better not be like Spa Cafe (I think that's what it's called) on Monroe between Clark and LaSalle. When they first opened you could get a couple of their smallish and healthy wrap things and a free side for $7 or so. After a while (and after some income vs. expenses checking, I'm sure) the free sides went away and the wraps got smaller and more expensive. I'm all for eating healthy, but not if it means going back to the office hungry or broke.
