We already know Mayor Mumbles is speaking and new speakers recently added to list include state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, Comptroller Dan Hynes, and Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan. But is Balgo's exclusion that big of a surprise? Given that Obama's campaign gets final say-so in choosing speakers, it shouldn't come as a shock, in spite of Obama and G-Rod's former ties (coughRezkocough).

I know this is a minority opinion, but frankly as far as greedy politicians go, Blago has done more for poor folks than any other politician in Illinois. Yea I have great insurance as I'm sure most of the folks who come in and out of this cyber corner bar, but what about the folks who don't or the folks who got a raise in the minimum wage, or earned income tax credits refunds, healthcare for their kids. Maybe they have a different view?
