"When summer gathers up her robes of glory/ And, like a dream, glides away"

As we've said before, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, but you wouldn't know it by the weather. Yesterday's 95-degree high at Midway was the highest temperature in 761 days, according to Chicago Weather Godfather Tom Skilling. Take that, August! But temps will be cooling down quite a bit as today's high will be somewhere in the upper 70's and the high might not even crack 70 tomorrow. Also coming tomorrow? The remnants of Gustav, which could bring 2 to 4 inches of much-needed rain to our area.
