It's been over a week since we last mentioned our favorite embattled Chicago MC, but luckily he's making more news for us: Kanye and fellow Chicago rapper Rhymefest are teaming up with Comedy Central to create a new puppet show, described as "hip-hop meets the Muppets." Tentatively titled Alligator Boots (we have no idea), the show is produced by the same guys that made Crank Yankers and has already filmed a pilot. It seems that video for "Champion" was a bit of a test-run for the show (no pun intended). The show, currently slated for a 2009 premiere, would follow a format similar to the Muppet Show in that each week it would be hosted by a celebrity guest (the pilot was hosted by Kanye, of course). Kanye has also been in talks with HBO about a series focusing on his life, with Curb Your Enthusiasm producer Larry Charles connected to it, but nothing has really advanced on that front, according to MTV.

Weird as it sounds, I see this being really successful.
Crank Yankers has a HUGE following in the hip-hop community and Avenue Q showed just how hip muppets can be.
Wow, Kanye, who is known for his comedy talents, and Rhymefest, also known for his biting satire?... wow, this sounds like a hit.
Oh, wait, forgot to put the letter "s" in that last sentence.
larry david?
ropesack - Larry David starred in CYE, but Larry Charles was executive producer.
It's worth a shot - Comedy Central is pretty terrible anymore. Outside of Stewart, Colbert, and South Park, there's little worth watching on that channel. How many airing of Joe Dirt and reruns of Scrubs does America really need?
Larry Charles also directed Borat and Maher's upcoming screed Religulous.
No, I didn't spell it right, it's a stupid fucking title.
Will Kanye Puppet throw a hissy fit if the show doesn't win any awards?
Episode One: George Bush hates black puppets.
Stealth, Arrested Development already beat you to the punch.
