Chicagoist Food Pr0n: Kohan
We made our way to Kohan to capture some of its food and drink for your eyes. While known for its sushi and teppan grill dishes, it also serves authentic Korean food, as well. Martinis are $5 (1/2 price!) all day Friday and Saturday. [Previous Chicagoist coverage of Kohan: 1, 2]
Kohan is located at 732 W. Maxwell Street, in University Village.
Korean Entree - Dolsot Bibimbap. A hot stone bowl rice with sauteed and seasoned vegetables, bulgogi and an egg topped with a spicy pepper sauce. The egg cooks against the hot stone bowl instantly when you stir the dish. (LStolpman)

Oh how I love bibimbap. That picture is just making me drool...

It's my opinion that Kohan is one of the most underrated Pan-Asian restaurants in the city. I makes being within spitting distance of Jimbo's Sports Lounge more tolerable

Great pictures. I'll be sure to try this place out when/if I ever have any money.

matty: Kohan isn't that expensive, as far as sushi bars go. A couple of rolls won't set you back that much, and are enough to fill two people.

I will have to stop by Kohan. The pics look good and the martini special looks like a great deal. Has anyone tried their teppan?
