- The Sun-Times reported a net loss of $168.8 million during the third quarter of 2008 and it looks like more staff cuts are on the way.
- A flurry of threatening text messages sent amongst students at Warren Township High School in Gurnee forced officials to shut down the school for the day.
- Because of the economic clusterbunch, it looks like the Tribune Company may settle for selling a smaller share of the Cubs. Jake Peavy not yet included.
