Every single one of those videos for "why chicago" are embarrassing to the point of losing the olympics on pure suckage alone.

They're still looking for the guy who took the car.

The baby was found as Scooter said. However the Chicagoist tidbit above is incorrect. The van was pulled over in response to the shots fired prior to the child being reported missing. They didnt leave the van in order to respond to shots being fired. It was determined the driver was not involved in the other separate crime. The Amber alert had not been issued, so the police were not ignoring a description of a vehicle and missing child that was right in front of them. Let's not paint the police to be doing less than they are.
Ok, the video of a white suburban kid, "rapping" about Chicago, filmed in the suburbs, feating him throwing up a "folks" gang sign...is in the lead.

That's not what the linked NBC5 story says:
Chicagoist may have incorrect info, but if they do, it's only because NBC does, too.
oph is correct. At the time, this was the only report that was out there at major media outlets and it was corrected later...when I had already logged off for the evening. That, of course, doesn't excuse us having the misinformation on the site, but it was the only info we could find at the time.
