Yesterday we were hardly surprised that Drew Peterson has found his future ex-wife no. 5. And today we are even less surprised to find out that his fiance’s father is less than thrilled. He told the Sun-times:
"I said, 'You need to take that back. If you don't want to, I will,' " said Ernie Raines, 53. "I said, why would you want to marry someone like that anyway? He's my age for Christ's sake."The “lucky” lady is reportedly Christina Raines, a 23-year-old waitress and apparently, she is the one who popped the question.
The family of Peterson’s missing fourth wife, Stacy is not very happy about it either and thinks he may have made it all up. "We're just playing into his publicity stunt," said the family’s spokesperson Pam Bosco. "We know nothing about this woman, we don't know if she exists...If it was from something very private and special, it would have been kept that way."

I'm not blaming Chicagoist for this post, because you guys are the only ones making this subject entertaining, but the media really, really, really needs to stop writing about this guy. It is obvious that he loves being hated, he loves the attention, and has some sort of illness, and loves having that illness. The worst punishment for him right now is to make an ass of himself with no cameras or microphones to catch him. There hasn't been a moment since day one that he hasn't loved this attention. When the phone stops ringing, when the media vans pull away, and when the radio stations are not interested in taking his call, that will be misery for him. Instead, this is misery for us. I thought OJ was bad. This guy takes the cake.
I've said it before, Stacy has to still be alive because I can't imagine a human being would act like this if it wasn't the case.
Man, between Drew Peterson and Barack Obama, talk about hope. If Obama can get elected, and Peterson can keep getting married, you and I can do anything! Anything is possible!

I understand not wasting ink on Peterson, but hedid potentially kill two women and is still free and dating. So it's got that train wreck appeal... we can't believe what we're seeing but we want to know about it.

I've got it! This whole "getting married" thing is just a ruse to drive Stacy out of hiding! Drew's brilliant! He's like a modern-day Matlock!

He also probably has some legal, or financial incentive to get that divorce from Stacy and now people can't say, 'What the rush, Drew ?'
And you're right, he is constantly baiting the media so he and Brodsky can turn around and blame them that THEY villianize him, and therefore he can't get a fair trial when he's indicted.
But it's all so crudely transparent that this is all going to backfire. Brodsky is no genius. They will be left to explain to a jury why
Stacy didn't come home to request custody of her small children,
or her share of the marital assets.
If Stacy were alive with a few clicks on a computer she'd know exactly what's going on. Drew painted her as Materialistic. So why not come home and get her share. Drew and Brodsky ... Dumb and Dumber.
You have to think positive about this.
