Weather Snarls Mass Transit

The roadways aren't the only ones suffering from this latest storm. The CTA is reporting delays on the Purple, Pink, Brown, and Green lines due to the weather, but gives no specifics. Metra is having a bit more of a problem: besides delays, several Electric Line trains have been canceled due to icing of the wires. Seriously, as if we needed another reason to stay at home and stay inside.

Blue line (o'hare line) is doing fine. Took about 15 minutes from division to clark/lake

ALSO

I took the blue line from clark and lake to o'hare last week (non-rush hour) total time? 33 minutes!

I guess I was lucky, I had no problems on the brown line this morning. Delays must have started later.

Of course, getting to the train was not easy, since most people had not shoveled their sidewalks *ahem*.

Green Line from Oak Park was fine once the train showed up. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing three outbound trains go by toward Harlem, one finally decided to come back the other way.
