Good Eatin'

Sky Full of Bacon 09: Raccoon Stories from Michael Gebert on Vimeo.

Yeah, we've eaten raccoon. We also tend to forget that Chicago is a metropolis nestled in the middle of rural America. And that part of americana is vanishing quickly around here. Sky Full of Bacon's Mike Gebert recently traveled to Delafield, Wisconsin for that town's 82nd Annual Coon Feed. Held in the Milwaukee suburb's American Legion post, proceeds from the dinner support the post's youth sports programs.

In case you're wondering, tonight is taco night at the Post.

Hilarious,
They have "taco night" at my old grandad's Elks lodge as well. Calling them "tacos" is being way too charitable though.

You don't get nostalgic for McCormack's taco seasoning on crumbled hamburger with cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce and tomato?

Anyway, thanks for the plug, Chuck!

We were an Old El Paso house, Mike.

Ha, that sounds about right Mike, maybe a little bit.
