30 Rock Reminder: WGN's Viral Moment Goes Primetime

2009_04_23_morgan.jpg It's Thursday and with such gorgeous weather, it's hard not to think about the weekend, but remember that tonight's episode of 30 Rock - featuring a few Second City alums you may be familiar with - will also feature footage from actor Tracy Morgan's 2007 visit to WGN's morning show, further proving that the line between fiction and reality has been blurred beyond imagination. The episode airs tonight on NBC 5 at 8:30 p.m. [Thanks to our pals at WGN for the original tip]

If you blinked you missed it. WGN went on about this for days -- all for a clip that lasted about 1/10 of a second. I guess there is nothing else to report on these days in Chicago. Good work WGN.

Yeah, kind of stinks, eh? Though, in WGN's defense, in the communication I had with them over the story, NBC wasn't forthcoming with them with details. All they knew is that some sort of airing of the clip would take place.

Completely unrelated: You guys have virtually admitted that your comments software is kind of sucky with a tendency to get itself gummed up. I would like to propose that Marcus and company simply remove obviously doubled comments so that we, the commenters, don't look stupid, or at least no more stupid than normal.

We try to keep us as we can. That said, our tech team is working on it and we hope to have this issue resolved very soon. As in "next week" soon.

Thanks -- and sorry about the double post.

This should have been a 'Whatcha Wearin' post, much better than the kid in a sweatshirt when it's 85 degrees.
