Shots Fired On State Street

Gun shots were fired outside the WLS Channel 7 studio at Randolph and State Street, and at least one person is being reported as injured. We'll have more as this develops. [CBN and Twitter]
UPDATE: WLS is streaming live from the scene.
UPDATE II: WLS reports that "police were chasing a man, who had what appears to be a knife, when he grabbed another man on the street and held him hostage."
UPDATE III: Chicago Breaking News reports that the man shot is now dead.
UPDATE IV: The officer firing the shots accidentally hit his partner as well. Police say the man is not seriously injured since the bullet hit his protective vest. [CBN]
