Two Teens Shot on CTA Bus

CTA Bus Drivers and Mechanics Vote to Strike Chicago Breaking News reports two male 14-year-olds were shot while riding the 79th Street bus on the South Side.

When the bus stopped at Ashland Avenue around 9:52 p.m., unknown suspects boarded the bus through the rear door and opened fire. One teenager was hit in his arm and leg. "He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn" and is in stable condition, according to the report. The other teenager suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks and sought treatment at Provident Hospital on his own. Information on his condition was unavailable.

Police have not yet determined a motive; no suspects have been arrested.
