The Chicagoist Intern broods before being sent on another coffee run in the freezing cold

Now that the holidays are over, that snow doesn't look as pretty and all we're left with is the heart of a dark, cold Chicago winter. Yeah, we're all full of cheer and smiles and rainbows and unicorns today. It's the type of day when we'll turn on every light in the office and run around singing along to the Polyphonic Spree we're blasting on Tankboy's computer - and then some Kelly Clarkson - because it's the only way we know to fight the winter blahs. Cloudy and cold, cloudy and cold, second verse, same as the first. Highs will probably crack 20 in most places and the City will probably see a few scattered snow showers early. Overnight, lows drop to the 10 to 12 degree range for most of us. So, yeah, pass the party hats cause we're gonna have to do what we can to keep the S.A.D. in check.
