Low Turnout For Early Voting

2010_01_27_Vote.jpg The number of Chicagoans voting early in this year's primary is down considerably from 2008's totals. With early voting for the February 2 primary date ending tomorrow, the Trib reports only 27,000 people have cast ballots early, a third of the 81,000 voters who cast ballots early in 2008 when Barack Obama was a candidate for president. That said, it's still above 14,000 people who voted early in 2006, the first year the option was available.
