Rev. Wright Lashes Out At Obama

By Marcus Gilmer in News on May 18, 2010 2:45PM

Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the pastor at a church the Obamas attended and the source of much consternation for Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, has lashed out. In a letter to Africa 6000 International when the group was raising money for Haiti relief and obtained by the Associated Press (dated February 18, 2010) Wright says:

"No one in the Obama administration will respond to me, listen to me, talk to me or read anything that I write to them. I am 'toxic' in terms of the Obama administration...I am 'radioactive,' Sir. When Obama threw me under the bus, he threw me under the bus literally!...Any advice that I offer is going to be taken as something to be avoided. Please understand that!"

It's not the first time since Obama broke ties with Wright in 2008 that the pastor has lashed out at Obama and those around him. The full letter surfaced earlier this year in connection with an appeal filed by Arthur Morrison, one-time manager to boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who was jailed for making telephone threats. Morrison was business partners with Joseph Prischak, the president of Africa 6000 International.
